Fishing Report June 3rd

Greetings Fishermen!

Hey look! The sun is out! Quick, before it rains again! We are having a beautiful day today, and after Saturday we are relishing in it! Wind, rain, waves…it was definitely not an ideal fishing day, but there were more than a few fisherfolks who braved the elements and went out to catch fish!

Even on the crappiest of days, the fish were biting just outside of Pine Island, in about 29 feet of water. Jigs tipped with frozen shiners was the ticket this weekend. I tried out a few live minnows, and didn’t even get so much as a bite. Maybe, I did get a bite, but my hands were so numb from the cold and wet that I didn’t feel it.

On Saturday, a few teams of hardcore fishing women took to the lake and the river for the 1st Annual Happy Hookers Fishing Tournament, (ladies only) through River Bend Resort. Here is a picture of our own Liz, and her fishing partner Tanya, getting ready to head out as the only unguided team. The fishing wasn’t great, as they were limited to the river with the wave conditions, but they had fun!

We have plenty of openings this month for awesome fishing trips! We also have some great mid-week and summer specials! Check out our website for more information! And remember, kids 12 and under, fishing with us, stay FREE!
