What types of payment does Wigwam accept?
We accept cash and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) Please note there is a 4% surcharge on all credit card transactions.
Do you sell fishing licenses at the WIgwam?
Unfortunately we do not, but don’t worry. You can get your fishing licenses at Border Bait or Log Cabin Bait, which are both just a mile or so from the Wigwam Resort. You will also find several gas station/convenience stores and bait shops in Baudette that all sell licenses.
Are lunches provided on the launches and in the ice houses?
If you would like bag lunches, they can be pre-ordered prior to arrival or they can be ordered at the front desk the evening before you fish. If you have chosen to go with the meal plan added to your fishing/lodging package, the lunch is included.
What is the slot size for walleyes on Lake of the Woods?
Walleyes caught on Lake of the Woods that are 19 1/2″ to 28″ must be released back into Lake of the Woods.
How many walleyes can I have in my possession?
The answer depends on the season. During the summer and winter seasons you can have a total of 6 fish in your possession only 4 can be Walleye. Please check with MN Fishing regulation to ensure that you are following all laws as they can change.
Do you have grills?
Available upon request. Please check with the front desk prior to your arrival.
Are there fire pits and picnic tables at each cabin?
Most Cabins have fire pits and picnic tables.
Are all your cabins on the lake?
Lakeside and Cabin #12 are the only two right on the lake. When booking, please be sure to ask our knowledgeable staff about cabin locations to make sure that you are exactly where you want to be.
Do you offer a meal plan with your fishing/lodging packages?
We do offer a meal plan with our packages during the winter ice fishing season. Ask our friendly front desk staff for pricing when you call in to make your reservation.

What types of lodging do you offer?
We offer lodge rooms, private cabins, and RV/camping sites to fit any group size or budget.
Is lodging available year-round?
Yes! Wigwam Resort is open year-round with seasonal activities and packages.
Do you offer lodging-only stays?
Yes! You can book lodging alone (except during our peek season in January) or choose a fishing package for a complete experience.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are welcome in cabins (with a small fee), but not in lodge rooms.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
Some weekends require a 2-night minimum, especially during peak seasons.

Do you provide fish houses?
Yes! Heated fish houses are available and regularly moved to keep you on the fish.
What’s included in an ice fishing package?
Packages usually include lodging, heated fish house, bait, access via plowed ice roads, and fish cleaning.
Can I drive my own vehicle on the ice?
Yes, guests may follow our plowed road system. Availability depends on ice conditions.
Do you offer day ice fishing?
Yes! Half-day and full-day trips are available with bait and heated houses.
Can I bring my own wheelhouse?
Yes, we accommodate guest wheelhouses when ice conditions allow.

Do you offer guided fishing trips?
Yes! Our experienced guides provide charter trips for all skill levels.
What’s included in a guided trip?
Boat, licensed guide, rods & tackle, bait, and fish cleaning.
What fish can I expect to catch?
We target Walleye and Sauger. Other spices of fish you can expect to catch: Northern Pike, Perch, Eel pout and Sturgeon (seasonal).
Do you offer fishing packages in summer?
Yes, packages include lodging plus guided fishing trips.
Can beginners go fishing?
Absolutely! Our guides provide all the equipment and instruction needed.

Do you clean the fish we catch?
Yes, fish cleaning and packaging is included in most packages.

How do I make a reservation?
