Fishing/Ice Out Report: May 13th, 2013

Greetings Fishermen!

Well it was a typical Minnesota Walleye Opener on Lake of the Woods! Cold, windy, and the fishing was good!

There were quite a few big walleyes caught this opener weekend! People were catching fish in 11-16 feet of water, anchored, and jigging with minnows.

This picture is a satellite image of the ice on Lake of the Woods from yesterday, May 12th. It’s fading! Check out our last satellite image from May 9th, and see the difference that just a few days can make! Soon enough we will have our lake back from the grips of winter!
