Lake of the Woods Fishing Report | June 2022

Fish are coming off the spawn.

Been hit and miss intercepting post-spawn fish and having the right wind. Quite a few no wind days which dramatically slows down the bite. Getting fish in 15-28′ off the islands and breaks off spawning areas. Might want to downsize jigs to 1/8 or 1/4 oz. with a finicky bite and no wind. Might want to throw plastics into the mix or pull spinners with bugs starting to hatch. Fish are biting in the river 8-15′ in current seams and slack current. Jigging or dragging plastics along the edge of the flooded shoreline has been producing.
