Fishing Report: 8-26

Greetings Fishermen!

It feels like summer. It feels like summer on the equator. Do you like it this hot? Or do you prefer fall, or winter?

We’re still bringing in the fish despite the massive amounts of sweat lost doing it! They are still catching fish out front by the 9 footer in around 35′, with more big fish being caught in the mud! Spinners with crawlers seems to be the ticket these days! Fish have moved to the rocks, and folks have been catching them on the rocks jigging. North and south of Garden Island has been producing fish as well. North- 16-25′ of water, and south- 30-35, pulling spinners with crawlers. Colors that have been effective are pink with gold, purple with pink, white, and red with silver. If you are looking to stay a little closer to home, they have been catching fish closer to the Zippel, out in front of the jetty, in around 30 feet.

August is almost over, but we aren’t complaining! September is going to be a fun month at the Wigwam!
We have live bands every weekend!
Aug. 30-Sept 1st “The Feds”
Sept. 6-7th “Wild Horses”
Sept. 13-14th “Off the Traxx”
Sept. 20-21st “Payback’
Sept. 27-28th “Wild Horses” with REDNECK FEST on the 28th!!

We can’t wait to see you out here!
