Fresh from the ice today, one of our guides gave me the following report:

Fishing is best in 26-30′ of water. You’ll have to sort through the small sauger to get to the keepers. Fishing with a Vexilar (watch out Vexilar tutorial video, below) can be very beneficial as it seems some of the more sizeable fish are suspended. Pink and green Jig-O-Bits and Rappala Perch Live Forge are doing quite well right now. The ice is between 10-15″ thick, and we are hoping to have trucks driving out on the ice sometime next week. (There are still some thin spots, so you MUST use caution and stay on marked trails!)

Thanks for reading, and I wish you great fishing!
